AFTER THE CHRISTCHURCH (NZ) EARTHQUAKE….

The Creative New Zealand office in central Christchurch reopened on 13 September and is available as a resource for the sector. The Christchurch Arts Festival is currently using it as they do not have access to their own offices. Most major organisations now have access to their premises. Organisations unable to access their premises due to safety reasons include the Body Festival (which is based in the Arts Centre) and the Christchurch Arts Festival. There have been some cancelled events in the last couple of weeks, these include the Christchurch Writers Festival, the SCAPE Biennial (postponed), the Body Festival, Tosca by Southern Opera (postponed until June 2011) and Gloria by Christchurch City Choir and Christchurch Symphony Orchestra.
