ARTS, CULTURE AND ECONOMIC GROWTH…
A one day conference will be held in London on 18 October 2010 with the slightly less than snappy title, How Best Can We Maximise The Role Of Arts And Culture In Economic Growth At A Time Of Deficit Reduction? It will explore issues such as: capitalising on the huge economic and social contribution of arts and culture; achieving maximum government support, nationally and locally; maximising the impact of cities of culture; sparking new partnerships between culture and commerce; and upskilling the workforce and creating productive jobs
