CULTURE DAYS COME TO CANADA…
The Government of Canada has announced funding forCulture Days across Canada. These free, interactive celebrations of arts and culture from coast to coast to coast will take place from 24-26 September (17-19 September in Alberta - I wonder why they are different….). Under the newStrategic Initiatives component of the Canada Cultural Investment Fund, the Government of Canada will provide $1.4 million over the next three years toward the Culture Days initiative, which is being spearheaded by The Banff Centre. Note that these new Culture Days should not be confused with the Journées de la culture, a Quebec-wide activity that served as the inspiration for Culture Days across Canada.
