LISTEN TO THESE PEOPLE…

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Americans for the Arts, they held a video contest where they asked people to tell them "Why Arts Matter". The main winner is Marisa Catalina Casey, Executive Director,Starting Artists, Inc. -Read Marisa's guest post on ARTSblog - her video is:Art is.... The Over 18 Winners are Student Advocates for the Arts Daria Pennington & Jonathan Lewis - Read Priya Sircar and Jonathan Lewis' guest post on ARTSblog - their video can be seen at You Need To Be An Arts Advocate - SAA. The Under 18 Winner: Linzy Paige - her video can be seen at: Why Arts Matter Video Contest. An excerpt of the winning video will be shown four times every hour from Monday, October 25th - Sunday, October 31st on MTV's 44 1/2 screen, the largest HD screen in Times Square.
