THERE IS NOTHING LIKE A DAME…AND A KHAN…

The prestigious International Society for the Performing Arts at its congress in New York has given major awards to two Brits: The Distinguished Artist Award (presented to performing artists who have made an outstanding contribution of talent, artistry, dedication, and service to the world for performing arts) went to Akram Khan. The Angel Award (presented to an individual or organisation who/which has demonstrated an exceptional and lasting contribution to the support of the performing arts which transcends the boundaries of one country or institution, and merits international recognition) went to Dame Vivien Duffield.
