NOT ENOUGH GOOD STUFF?
Michael Kaiser , President of the John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts, warns that the arts are in a perilous state because not enough 'excellent' art is being created; the classical arts have not done enough to embrace new technologies or to create daring pieces. Apparently there is no lack of talent but an over-involvement of conservative top-down boards and managers rather than individual prime movers in the creation of art.
