CULTURE AND DIVERSITY…

The German Commission for UNESCO and the Asia-Europe Foundation with the experts of the U40 program "Cultural Diversity 2030" launched the project " Mapping Cultural Diversity - Good practices around the world " during the recent fourth meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee. The publication consists of 39 case studies of innovative and sustainable projects to protect and promote the diversity of cultural expressions - you can download it here. These best practices show aspects of the creation, production, distribution or dissemination, in connection with understanding and accessibility of cultural expressions. These examples reflect the interaction between policies and practices implemented to achieve the objectives of the Convention and demonstrate the role of culture as a key component of sustainable development. The report can be downloaded here (PDF).
