CULTURE AND INTEGRATION…

On 16 March, at the European Parliament in Brussels, members of the network EUROMEDINCULTURE(s) will officially present the outcome of the broad citizen consultation work carried out since January 2009 on cultural issues in European integration and the role it should play in future EU policies (FR). Supported by the European Commission under the Programme "Europe for Citizens", this consultation process has involved thousands of citize ns across Europe, who spoke through an online questionnaire and during many public meetings organized in different countries involved in the project. The reflection focused on the issue of mobility of artists and cultural professionals, enhancing the economic potential of cultural and artistic fields, integration of cultural aspects in educational policies and the role of culture in Foreign Relations of the European Union, especially in the Mediterranean.
